Jordisk is Now a Certified B Corporation

When we started Jordisk two years ago, we set out with a clear goal: to help businesses navigate sustainability challenges in a way that is both pragmatic and impactful. From day one, we knew that if we were going to advise companies on integrating ESG into their operations, we had to hold ourselves to the highest standards as well. B Corp certification was an obvious choice.

That’s why we’re proud to announce that Jordisk is now a Certified B Corporation!

Why B Corp?

B Corp certification is more than just a badge—it’s a rigorous process that assesses a company’s impact on its workers, customers, community, and the environment. For us, it was a key milestone, ensuring that we were building Jordisk in line with the principles we champion.

As a people-based consultancy, our direct environmental footprint is small compared to other industries. But we believe every business has a responsibility to minimise its impact. That’s why we prioritise rail travel over flights, maintain a lean operational structure, and embed sustainability into everything we do.

What does B Corp Certification take?

Becoming a Certified B Corporation is a demanding process that goes beyond a simple pledge. It involves:

  • A rigorous impact assessment – B Lab, the non-profit behind B Corp, evaluates companies across governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. Each company must score a minimum of 80 points out of 200 to qualify.
  • Legal accountability – Companies must amend their legal structure to consider all stakeholders in decision-making, not just shareholders.
  • Transparency and verification – The assessment is reviewed by B Lab, with supporting evidence required at every stage. Certification must also be renewed every three years to ensure ongoing commitment.

For Jordisk, this process was an opportunity to take a step back and evaluate our own impact with the same rigour we apply to our clients. It reinforced what we’re doing well and highlighted areas for continued improvement. You can read more about the certification process here.

How did we score?

We’re pleased to share that Jordisk achieved a B Impact Score of 98.8—well above the 80-point threshold for certification.

Here’s how we performed across the key areas of the assessment:

  • Governance – Strong ethical business practices and a clear commitment to accountability. Our sore: 18
  • Workers – A focus on employee well-being, flexibility, and professional development. Our score: 29.1
  • Community – Positive contributions through our work, partnerships, and responsible supply chain practices. Our score: 18.8
  • Environment – A low operational footprint, with a focus on emissions reduction through rail travel and minimal office space. Our score: 10.8
  • Customers – A core mission of helping businesses integrate sustainability in meaningful ways. Our score: 21.8

This score reflects our efforts so far, but we see it as a baseline, not a finish line. There’s always more we can do, and we’re committed to continuously improving our impact. You can see our B Impact Assessment online here.

A Step, not a Destination

Achieving B Corp certification isn’t the end of the journey—it’s a commitment to continuous improvement. It reinforces our responsibility to our clients, our team, and the wider business community to keep pushing for better outcomes.

To everyone who has supported us along the way—thank you. We look forward to continuing this journey and helping more businesses integrate sustainability in ways that make sense for them.
